THE PROJECT

Software that stays close to a creative moment.

Current is a live rhyme studio for finding the next line while you rap. Spoken or typed words lead to rhyme suggestions, vowel matches, and phrase ideas in a single working surface. I’m exploring how to make those suggestions useful without pulling attention away from the line itself.

My contribution

SCOPE OF WORK
  1. Live language input

Spoken and typed words connect the emerging line to suggestions in the studio.

  2. Sound and phrase exploration

Rhyme suggestions, related vowel sounds, and phrase ideas give the writer several ways to develop a line.

  3. A record of the session

A rhyme log, session audio, and transcript tools support returning to ideas after the moment has passed.

DESIGN & INTENT

Useful suggestions within reach

The interface groups related sounds and keeps the developing rhyme scheme visible. Its design centers on a short feedback loop: a word enters the studio, possible directions appear, and the writer decides where to take the line. Timing and readable grouping are central to that experience.

BUILD & CONTEXT

From improvisation to something to revisit

The studio brings immediate suggestions and the session’s record into the same workspace. That connects the spontaneous part of writing with the slower work of reviewing and developing material. Current is in active development; the image documents the interface as it stood in September 2026.
