Exploring software as a place you can navigate.
Arcadia brings an AI agent workspace and a life simulation into the same experience. I’m exploring how work, activity, and character can become visible in a spatial interface, while keeping a clear distinction between the system doing the work and the world that represents it.
My contribution
SCOPE OF WORKAgent coordination
Work orders, an inbox, and project activity provide a way to start work and follow what happens.
Persistent history
An event log records activity so the workspace can reconstruct its state and show the history behind it.
Spatial interaction
A simulated world introduces character, movement, and a navigable sense of place to the interface.
Work that can pause and resume
The agent workspace runs tasks as individual processes. When a task needs an answer, the question becomes part of its history; a later reply resumes the conversation. This makes the recorded work and its context central to the experience, even when an agent process is no longer running.
A world with its own responsibilities
The simulation and the agent system retain distinct responsibilities. The interface can give activity a spatial presence while the underlying systems remain accountable for their own state. Arcadia is an ongoing exploration of that relationship, with room to investigate both practical coordination and playful interaction.
