Bringing a national event to the screen.
For USA Archery’s national events, I work across the full live production process: the streaming A/V setup, motion graphics, scoring integration, custom software, and on-site execution. The work brings creative production and technical systems together with a small crew and limited resources.
My contribution
SCOPE OF WORKProduction systems
Building and supporting the streaming audio and video stack used for national event coverage.
Graphics and live data
Creating motion graphics and integrating real-time scoring with USA Archery’s data.
On-site execution
Carrying the setup into live production and developing custom software to support the broadcast.
The graphics are connected to the event
Scoring is part of how viewers follow the competition. Integrating real-time event data connects the broadcast’s visual presentation to what is happening on the field. This work spans both the appearance of the graphics and the software that supports them.
Designing for the moment of production
The production has to bring its technical and creative parts together while the event is happening. My role covers preparing those parts and operating the broadcast on site. Working across the stack gives me a direct connection between the systems I build and the conditions in which they are used.
